Talking With Your Kids About Violence

A Parents’ Round Table will be held Tuesday, December 15, at 6:30pm in McCracken Hall in the Parish House of Trinity Church. This will be an informal conversation about anxieties parents may encounter – both in themselves and in their kids – in talking with their children about violence in our world. When the news is filled with attacks and shootings and terrorism and brutality, how can you help your children stay grounded? How can you be a grounded strength for your children? What questions do we as parents have, and what resources and practices can we share, that will help us parent well in these times? The Rev. Paul Nancarrow, the Rev. Shelby Owen, and Anne Grizzle will help facilitate this parents’ conversation.
