The Women’s Bible Study will read and discuss Barbara Brown Taylor’s book, Learning to Walk in the Dark, during the month of January. She appeared in Time magazine (April 27, 2014) as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. In her book, “Taylor guides us through a spirituality of the nighttime, teaching us how to find God even in darkness, and giving us a way to let darkness teach us what we need to know”. The class will meet on Wednesdays, January 14 – 28 from 11am-12pm or 5:30-6:30pm in the Foster Room. The nursery will be provided. If possible please read the book before January 14 and come to the class with 3-4 thoughts of what you may like to discuss. We will devise an agenda around our impressions. The class could run longer than 3 weeks. 10 copies of the book will be provided for $17.00 (retail $25.00) through Muffie Newell. Assistance for a book is also available. Please let her know if you are interested in a copy, firstname.lastname@example.org or 886-9132.
