Anne Page began studying the organ in order to play the music of Bach. Born and educated in Perth, Australia, her teacher Annette Goerke guided her in the study of Bach and of wider repertoire. Subsequently, Anne studied with Marie-Claire Alain, Peter Hurford, and Jacques van Oortmerssen.
Anne made her London debut in the Royal Festival Hall and an international recital career followed. The Musical Times wrote: ‘Page’s playing was of the highest order and her handling of the instrument particularly impressive.’ Since the 1980s she has been based in Cambridge where during 2011/12 she performed the complete organ works of Bach on fourteen instruments in eleven chapels and churches.
Anne’s program at Trinity will include works by Handel, Scheidemann, Buxtehude, David Liddle, Ian Massini and J. S. Bach.
