Trinity College Winter 2014 Classes

Classes begin the week of January 12. You may sign up for any of these groups on our google sign up doc or by calling the parish office. Plan now to join in one or more of these opportunities for Christian formation and learning!

  • C.S. Lewis’ Adult Science Fiction (Lundy Pentz) – Many people are not aware that the author of the Chronicles of Narnia wrote three remarkable science fiction novels for adults: Out of the Silent PlanetPerelandra, and That Hideous Strength. They deal most imaginatively with space travel, multiple intelligent life forms, and the cosmic consequences of the Fall and the Redemption. We will devote a quarter of the class time to the first and a quarter to the last novel, leaving the middle half to the second one which is likely to provoke the most interesting discussions. This group will meet on Monday evenings at 7pm in the Braxton Room.
  • So We Believe in Jesus: Now What? A Practical Study in the Book of Acts(Paul Nancarrow) – In this course we will take a look at selected stories from the Acts of the Apostles. We will look at the ways in which the apostles act out their faith in Jesus in the actual circumstances of their lives and ministries. This will lead to discussion and sharing about how we can act out our faith in Jesus in our own lives and ministries. This group will meet on Wednesday evenings at 7pm in the Foster Room.
