Trinity College Fall 2013 B Classes

Classes begin the week of November 3. You may sign up for any of these groups on our google sign up doc or by calling the parish office. Plan now to join in one or more of these opportunities for Christian formation and learning!

  • Sect, Folk, and Freedom: Topics in American Religion. Led by Ken Keller, this group will look at three broad questions of the sociology of American religion: What role have sects played in the religious landscape? What has been the influence of folk or popular religion? How has the concept of religious freedom developed over time? The group will meet on Mondays at 7:00pm on November 4, November 18, and December 2 in the Braxton Room.
  • Embracing Spiritual Awakening. This video series features presentations by Diana Butler Bass, a leading author, speaker, scholar, and “cultural observer” on church and society, exploring what Christianity may look like “beyond religion and beyond the church.” Paul Nancarrow will lead group discussions of the video material. The group will meet on Wednesdays at 7:00pm on November 6, 13, 20, and December 4 and 11 in the Foster Room.
